A splash of color...

Even for the most traditional bride adding a splash of color to your wedding day look can add a little extra!

Adding a bit of color into your accessories can be the perfect way to put on your personal touch. For example, use one of your wedding colors and find a great pair of shoes in that perfect pink or add a colored ribbon or flower into your up-do. Girls don't be scared of spicing up your wedding day with a little color!

Wedding Planning Myths

I think when every bride starts to plan their wedding they are usually bombarded with ideas and opinions and the "right way" or the "wrong way" stories. It's a lot to take in for a newly engaged bride, that's why I want to help debunk a few of the myths.....

#1 Guest List...
They invited you to their wedding, so you feel compelled to invite them to yours! People need to understand that's it's your day not theirs, so don't feel forced to invite anyone. You should invite the most important people in your life, your friends will understand that having a wedding is $$$, and you have to keep that guest list within your budget limits! So Don't stress about your guest list!

#2 A wedding planner is too expensive...
My favorite one of course! Yes, there are planners out there that cost an arm and a leg, but there are many (like us) that will work with every brides budget! You can cut planner costs by only hiring for Day of Coordination services instead of a full service planning package. Our main goal as planners though is to leave the bride stress free on her special day, and you can't put a price on that!

#3 Bridal Party...
Don't ever feel like you have to worry about having an even number of groomsmen and bridesmaids. If you do have an uneven number you can make some of the guys ushers or have others be readers. You can always have one groomsmen walk with two bridesmaids or vice versa. It's your wedding, so you can run it however you choose, there are no wrong answers!

Just remember it's YOUR day, your the bride and whatever you and your groom decide will make your wedding day a day to remember forever! Happy Planning!

Hot Wedding color combos

Sometimes its good to think a bit outside of the box when it comes to picking your wedding colors, traditional is not always better! Try colors like Hot Pink, peach and chartreuse, the bright combo makes a huge statement against a lighter backdrop for spring/summer or a darker one fall/winter. The color palette a bride chooses for her wedding is very important, it kind of announces the tone of the wedding. Bright and electric colors tell a story of fun, adventure and excitement, where as the dark jeweled tones can be more a dramatic, romantic flare. Whichever colors you pick they should definitely make a statement and be "all about you!"

My wedding!

I've dreamed of my wedding day for as long as I can remember, when I finally got engaged I eagerly jumped right into planning since it was my passion. From every little detail of the ribbon color on the ceremony programs to the way the candy was placed on our candy table had to be PERFECT! My wedding day was everything I ever dreamed of, and that giddy, fireworks, the whole world just stopped for you feeling is what every bride deserves on her special day!
